D’Artagnan’s bison are naturally raised by a cooperative of independent ranchers in the U.S. and Canada, without the use of hormones or antibiotics – ever. Never truly domesticated, bison prefer to live outdoors year-round and graze on vast pastures with very little human interaction. Bison is the original good-for-you red meat. This nutrient-dense red meat is high in protein and low in fat and cholesterol with a slightly sweet flavor profile highlighted by distinct grassy notes. Their diet is supplemented by wholesome grains and hay when grass is scarce in winter months.
